Safe Haven, Secure Base
The first of Havenly’s Immutable Laws (Our Pillars of Core Values)
We at Havenly strive to function out of the concept of “Safe Haven, Secure Base.” We believe that we are all inherently relational beings - we were never meant to figure life out alone, left to our own devices, seeing each other as threats or competition. Our nervous systems reflect that: Our bodies physically can’t thrive when in a state of survival. When we’re feeling stressed, our reactive autopilot survival modes kick in, sometimes accidentally creating messy situations that therefore add more stress. Stress begets stress. Safety and security begets vulnerability and healthy relationships.
We strongly believe that thriving happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and known. We strive to be a community of safe haven; where everyone feels they can take off their respective protective masks and pretenses and be authentically themselves.
From that space of safety and acceptance, the magic happens - we are better able to courageously risk and reach, to go after and live out the deep purpose we all have at our core. We can even fail, knowing that we have a home to return to in order to receive rest and care. And out of that energized place we can launch back out into the world to do all we were meant to do, see, and meet.
We deeply desire Havenly to be a Safe Haven and a Secure Base for both ourselves as healers, for our clients, and for the larger community.
