Hi! We are the founders of Havenly.

Joanne B. Kim, LMFT
Our dream of Havenly has been rolling around in our hearts and minds for years. We yearned to be in a community of healers and dreamers who see each other, not as competition or threats, but as collaborators and companions in our journey as private practice entrepreneurs.
We believed and saw in our own journeys of becoming therapists that it’s entirely possible to thrive in our practices and serve our beloved clients well without needing to sell ourselves short or burn ourselves out.
We are ever committed to creating a safe haven, first and foremost for ourselves and our healers, who then in turn will attune deeply to our clients. As we heal alongside one another, we ourselves become more skilled, grounded, enlivened healers.
These are the pillar values of Havenly that we cherish and strive to uphold. We're not simply a community of convenience coming together just to share resources and split costs. Rather, we yearn for Havenly to be a thriving, dynamic community of conviction, dedicated to lifelong growth & wholehearted service.
These values are what we deeply love and yearn to live out, not just out of our own individual efforts, but alongside one another with trust and courage.

Confession: I had a really hard time in grad school. Not academically, but I really struggled to take the necessary risks I needed to in order to grow as a clinician. I chalked it up to my anxiety, beat myself up about not being good enough, and forced myself out there.
It was hard. I cried a lot. And then, at my first practicum site, EVERYTHING CHANGED.
I had a community of encouragers and a supervisor who deeply believed in me and my gifts as a healer. Slowly my anxiety faded and I was able to put myself out there more, and even fail, and I knew that I would be ok. I grew in confidence and thrived.
I had experienced Safe Haven and found a Secure Base.
From that time on, I dreamed of founding a community of healers that exemplified this concept: when people feel seen, known, loved, and encouraged for who they uniquly are, they feel more confident to chase their dreams. I dreamt of a community that would be a Safe Haven and Secure Base for healers and clients alike. Little did I know that Joanne at OliveMe Counseling, years later, would share that same dream.
Havenly Counseling Collective is, literally, a dream come true. We are a collective of healing professionals with our own individual dreams & styles, running our own respective businesses.
Together, we are dedicated to this passion: to be a safe haven where both clients and therapists feel seen, cared for, and empowered to pursue their own dreams alongside others.
I can't WAIT to show you all our new home and take you all on the journey!!

I’m a therapist-turned-entrepreneur who LOVES all things feelings🌈, creativity✨, and courage! 🔥
An Enneagram 4 at heart (though many probably can’t tell from the outside), my dream is to be a DREAM ACTIVATOR, by discovering and summoning forth each person’s WILDEST dreams.
Whereas Melinda demonstrates more of the Safe Haven aspect of Havenly (where everyone can come as they are, however they are, and find refuge), I launch people beyond their farthest horizons as the Secure Base (where everyone has safety and empowerment to try BIG new things without fear of failure or criticism).
I love Havenly because I’m learning how to become more whole by connecting with my own Safe Haven, as I’m prone to constantly moving without stopping and pushing myself well past my limit.
I truly believe that healers can transform the world, but first starting with themselves. I’ve seen the devastation that happens when those in authority and influential roles (yes, including therapists) don’t do their own personal work.
It’s so easy to forget that we, too, are human. To fully support our beloved ones in ways they ACTUALLY NEED, we need to do our 🤬 work.
Let us all move one step closer towards our own healing and wholeness!
