Lorren Siu

Let me first just say I am truly glad you are here. I probably don’t know you yet, but I want to let you know that I am so happy you are on a path to learn how to care for and love yourself more fully. How do I know that? Well, you’re researching therapists and therapy centers, and that tells me you have good things ahead for you!

Since you are doing your research, let me tell you more about who I am and what it’s like to work with me.

My passion is helping others feel comfortable with who they are. I love connecting with others and hearing their stories: the good, the bad, and the often overlooked things that shaped who they are and impact how they live life today. It has always been an honor for me to sit with someone and listen to what they have to share. And so, I found myself on the journey to become a marriage and family therapist.

Along the way, I learned so much more than how to better listen to people’s stories. I learned how to truly connect with others and myself. I learned how to be ok with the hard things in life. I learned how to not feel as anxious and overwhelmed all of the time. I learned how to enjoy my life in the midst of the chaos. I learned how to trust and take risks. In learning all of this, I became a therapist who loves helping others discover how to be their true selves.

In my office, I strive to create a therapy environment where you can feel truly comfortable to be yourself. There are enough spaces in life where you carry the heavy load of others’ expectations and perceptions of you; this is a place for you to set those burdens aside and just be who you are.

You know why you are here and what you want to work on - I am not here as the expert to tell you what to do next. My role as your therapist is to be a guide to help you sort through the things that have been holding you back and getting in the way of where you want to be. I tailor each session to meet you right where you are that day while still focusing on the goals you are reaching for. I combine a variety of approaches to help you gain deeper insight, learn new skills, and grow into your best self.

My clients often comment on how comfortable and supported they feel during our time together - even on days they are diving in deep and working on their hardest stuff! That is my goal - that you know you can go wherever you need in your therapy journey and I will be right there with you. This is what therapy is to me - a space to be seen, accepted, and valued for who you are, and a place to take a closer look at all of the good and bad in your life alongside someone who truly cares about you. This is my promise to you; I will strive to see you for who you are and not add any burdens to you of who you should be. I will be present with you as you do your work. I will truly care for you, not because you are a client, but because you are a person and that is what you deserve.
