About Me
Growing up in a multigenerational home and working in a family business as an adult means that I’m no stranger to the complexities of relationships. Like so many of my clients, I’m also familiar with the deep desire to be authentically connected to others. If you’re busy caring about someone, minding others’ opinions, or overwhelmed while providing for the needs of a family, it can be easy to forget yourself. You might experience a loss of your sense of self when you’re working hard to be aware of what others need (or sometimes, what you perceive they need).
When I found myself burnt out and disconnected with myself. I couldn’t see my giftings or my own desires. All I saw was my lack. I knew I needed outside support. My own therapeutic journey led me on a path to confront my fears and my shame. I also had to take ownership of the permission I already had to pursue a life that aligned with my values. I’ve learned that connecting with yourself first, fosters beautiful connections with others. There’s a way to honor the people that matter without abandoning oneself.
